This project is the labor of love that debuts "The Love of the Father." I wrote the lyric and captured the melody in tribute to my three sons and the adjustment to weekend visitations after a painful divorce.

On a lighter note, the song, "I Quit!" is a fun, blues song that's full of the kind of lyric depth that is typical of song writer Jonathan Pennington. Jon had intended this to be a southern gospel quartet song but we surprised him thoroughly with our results. After all, "what does it profit ... if you gain the whole world, but lose your soul?"

I include two familiar hymns. I remember my Dad walking through our house on Sunday morning, singing his favorite songs. There are also two songs that originated from the days of the Gospel Chords.

Three brand new songs fill the variety of music and lyric styles that are the mark of my music taste. Rounded out with a Praise and Worship song that will spring eternal in your spirit when you need them. Amazing Love, How Can It Be? All because Jesus Christ is LORD.

Many are still the backbone of my current program, they are just too timeless to dismiss.
